Hi, I’m Kat, founder of Life Design Lab and someone who’s walked the path from burnout to balance, from boardrooms to barefoot living.

After three decades leading large teams and businesses, I made the bold decision to step away from the grind and create a life that felt truly aligned, one rooted in freedom, fulfillment, and authenticity. Life Design Lab was born from that decision: a space where real transformation happens from the inside out.

These days, you’ll find me based in beautiful Bali with my husband Rik, guiding others through mindset work, emotional awareness, and my signature LIFE Framework. Whether it’s a 1:1 or a workshop, my mission is simple: I’ll help you reconnect with who you are and design a life that truly fits.

I’m a big believer in everyday joy, cooking vibrant, whole food meals, walking barefoot on the beach, soaking in new cultures, and always making space for the little moments that matter. I travel often, but my heart always returns to New Zealand, where family, friends, and my roots keep me grounded.

If more alignment, energy and intention sound like your vibe, come join me for the journey.

My life has been the lab. Yes, I teach this work. But I’ve lived it first.

Quick fire facts

  • I became a mum at 18 to my son Kayne, discovering responsibility, love, and resilience all at once.

  • I’ve travelled to 37 countries, and still have a long way to go.

  • Menopause? Been there, done that. If you need real talk or advice, I’ve got you.

  • In 2023, I kicked invasive breast cancer to the curb.

  • I cook a punchy Beef & Date curry, it’s my own recipe (let me know if you want a copy!)

  • I ate a scorpion in Thailand last year. Can’t say I’d order it twice… but no regrets.

  • The splits were once my party trick — now I consider it a win if I can nail a downward dog.

  • My great-grandfather immigrated from Copenhagen, I haven’t made it to Denmark yet, but it’s high on the list.

  • Losing my brother and two close friends in my early 40s reshaped the way I see life and deepened my purpose.

  • Right now, my top 3 values are benevolence, self-direction, and hedonism, equal parts giving, growing, and indulging.

  • I share the same birthday as Lady Diana and Pamela Anderson — grace meets glam, and I’m somewhere in between.
