“Is This It?” - The Question That Changed My Life
Sometimes the most defining moments happen in the quiet after life cracks open.
There’s a moment that lives in the back of my mind, quiet, but defining.
It came not during a board meeting or big decision, but in the stillness that followed something much harder. My brother had just passed away suddenly at the age of 46. Not long after, I lost two dear friends. Life as I knew it cracked wide open.
I had climbed the ladder. I had led teams, mentored hundreds, managed multi-million-dollar businesses. On paper, I had it all. But in that moment, heartbroken, questioning, raw, one quiet question echoed through me louder than any corporate achievement ever had:
“Is this all there is?”
The Whisper That Becomes a Wake-Up Call
I know I’m not the only one who’s asked that. It’s the whisper that comes when you’ve ticked the boxes, played by the rules, pushed yourself hard… and yet still left feelin that something’s missing.
It’s not that life was bad, my life was full. But it wasn’t mine anymore. Not in the way I needed it to be. I was living in a system that no longer reflected who I truly was becoming.
And that question, that single, soul-level nudge became the catalyst for everything that followed.
From Boardrooms to Bali
It was during a trip to Bali with my husband Rik that we started sketching out a different kind of future. One where life wasn’t dictated by meetings and metrics, but by meaning and alignment.
What began as a “one-year break” evolved into a complete life redesign. We left our careers. We moved to Bali. I returned to what I’d loved since my early twenties: mindset, healing, values, and the human experience. I trained in Positive Psychology, Health Coaching, and Neuroscience-based transformation. I began working with individuals, real people ready to create real change.
Then, life cracked me open again, this time through a breast cancer diagnosis. What could have broken me became yet another teacher. Another layer to shed. Another space to heal. It taught me what I now help others find: a mind that is free, a heart that is full, and a life that is lived on purpose.
What If This Isn’t All There Is?
What if there’s more?
More space. More connection. More calm. More you.
If you’ve been carrying that same question, if the noise of life has quieted long enough to hear it, then know that you're not alone.
There’s a different path waiting. One that’s not about burning it all down, but about building something new from within.
Take a moment today and ask yourself:
What is the life I’m truly craving beneath all the noise?
Even one small insight can change everything.
One of the reasons I created Life Design Lab was to help others find clarity in the midst of life’s chaos. The tools I share, like my exclusive LIFE Framework are the same ones that helped me rebuild from the inside out. If you’re feeling that quiet nudge for change, I’d be honoured to walk this path with you. Don’t hesitate to reach out.
Let’s begin the magic.
